Job summary

Carnegie Science's Earth & Planets Laboratory in Washington, DC invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in geochronology. The fellow will work with Dr. Kasbohm on a self-defined project integrating high-precision geochronology into Earth history research, with opportunities for collaboration and instrumentation access.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field by the start date and may propose diverse isotope systems while benefiting from EPL's collaborative, well-equipped

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field by the start of the fellowship.
• Experience with high-precision geochronology and CA-ID-TIMS preferred.
• Ability to develop an independent, original research proposal.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-precision geochronology research in Earth history.
• Collaborate with EPL team and Dr. Kasbohm; develop proposals.
• Utilize facilities including Isotopx Phoenix TIMS and computing resources.
