Qualifications

Ph.D. in Optics/Photonics, Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
Strong hands-on experience with free-space optical systems including alignment and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of Gaussian beam propagation, diffraction, focusing and imaging.
Experience with semiconductor lasers, laser sources, and optical components.
Ability to independently align, characterize, and optimize complex free-space optical setups.

Responsibilities

Develop, align, characterize and optimize advanced optical platforms involving semiconductor diode lasers and laser arrays.
Contribute to experimental design, data collection, and analysis of optical experiments.
Collaborate with team to advance synchronization, beam combining, and coherence in large laser arrays.
