Job summary

The Joseph Research Group in Princeton, NJ is seeking postdoctoral or senior researchers to study intracellular organization and biomolecular self-assembly using computer simulations.

Candidates with PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, bioengineering, or related field, and strength in MD/MC methods, statistical mechanics, and programming (C++, Python) are encouraged to apply; prior biomolecular simulation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, bioengineering, or closely related field.
• Strong interest in biological systems and intracellular organization.
• Experience with computer simulations of biomolecular systems is a plus.
• Experience with MD/MC simulations and statistical mechanics concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop computer simulation approaches to study intracellular organization and condensate formation.
• Apply and extend MD/MC methods to biomolecular systems.
• Collaborate with experimental groups to interpret simulation results.
• Contribute to multi-scale modeling and software development for simulations.
