Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a postdoctoral scientist in the Immunobiology division to advance protein design and immune function research. The lab integrates computational design, immunology, cell biology, and stem cell biology to study immune cell development and signaling.

The successful candidate will design experiments, analyze data, present findings, and contribute to grant writing while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD or equivalent in biology, immunology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop the skills to become an independent scientist through critical thinking and data analysis.
• Design, execute, and record laboratory experiments with data analysis to inform decisions.
• Research and improve current methods; ensure protocol accuracy; troubleshoot equipment and results.
• Discuss insights with Faculty and provide recommendations based on data.
• Present research at meetings and develop skills to critically review and discuss data.
• Draft and edit scientific reports, papers, abstracts, and grants.
• Progressively assume greater responsibilities with mentorship and fiscal oversight.
• Maintain currency in the field through continuing education, seminars, and literature.
