The candidate will contribute to research in scalable storage, memory architectures, telemetry-driven optimization, and performance analysis for HPC, scientific AI, and edge computing.

Qualifications

• A PhD in computer science/engineering with HPC/AI/edge systems research within past five years.
• Strong background in scalable storage and memory architectures for HPC workloads.
• Experience designing experiments, evaluating performance, and publishing results.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with researchers and sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers on data and storage research for HPC, AI, and edge computing.
• Conduct I/O and storage performance characterization of HPC apps on multi-tier storage systems.
• Collect and analyze telemetry data to guide data-driven design decisions.
• Explore DDR vs. HBM usage patterns and propose architectural improvements.
• Design episodic, configurable, and composable data storage systems.
• Develop system-level approaches for time-sensitive data processing at scale.
• Coauthor peer-reviewed publications, technical reports, and presentations.
• Seek membership and service opportunities in professional and research organizations.
