Job summary

The Morizono Laboratory in the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, affiliated with the UCLA AIDS Institute, seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar to study regulated, long-term expression of anti-HIV antibodies via B-cell receptor-targeted lentiviral vectors.

Responsibilities include generating and characterizing pseudotyped lentiviral vectors, performing in vitro and in vivo transductions, and analyzing vector infectivity via flow

Qualifications

• All UCLA Postdoctoral Scholars must have a doctoral degree completed or received within the past 10 years.
• No more than 5 years of cumulative postdoctoral research experience, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.

Responsibilities

• Generate and characterize pseudotyped lentiviral vectors.
• Perform in vitro and in vivo transductions and analyze vector infectivity by flow cytometry.
• Conduct vector administrations in animal models and prepare tissue sections for histology and flow cytometric analyses.
• Collect samples for ELISA and Western blot assays and conduct in vivo imaging.

Education

Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in Biological Sciences, Virology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
