Qualifications

• The candidate must have a PhD in Zoology with genetics/genomics experience in aquatic species.
• At least one first author publication in top-tier journals (Nature, Nat. Comm, Science, Science Advances).
• Proficiency with Linux, Bash, R and Python and experience with HPC.
• Experience in genome assembly, comparative/population genomics, and phylogenomics.
• Experience with RNA-seq, epigenetics and multi-omics integration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research under NIH R24 grant; lead manuscript development.
• Study genome architecture related to adaptation and sex chromosome evolution.
• Perform comparative genomics and various genomic analyses in model organisms.
• Standardize data formats for data management and sharing.
• Identify external funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing.
