Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong publications demonstrating scientific productivity and research excellence.
• Expertise in fungal biology; molecular genetics; CRISPR genome engineering and functional genomics; genome-wide, high-throughput screening; laboratory automation; systems and synthetic biology; bioinformatics; computational biology; AI/ML.
• Ability to independently design, conduct, and publish innovative research in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply CRISPR-based tools for genome engineering and functional genomics in fungi.
• Design and execute genome-wide, high-throughput genetic screens using automated workflows, and conduct multi-omics studies.
• Engineer fungal and microbial systems for biotechnological and therapeutic applications.
• Prepare progress reports and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
