Job summary

The Ohio State University invites applicants for the Dean’s Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship in the broad area of Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery, based in Parks Hall (Columbus). The program aims to attract outstanding early-career scientists whose work advances fundamental biology while enabling new therapeutic discovery and development.

The successful candidate will work across biochemical, biophysical, cellular, structural, and/or proteomic methods to study target engagement,

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, biophysics, pharmacology, molecular biology, structural biology, bioengineering, or related fields.
• Must have completed all doctoral requirements before starting; candidates no more than five years beyond highest degree.
• Experience in chemical biology, drug discovery, target engagement, and protein–ligand interactions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply chemical biology approaches to study target engagement and drug action.
• Collaborate with Buckeye BioLaunch and Pharmacy/Medicinal Chemistry teams.
• Contribute to translational therapeutic discovery initiatives.
