Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Geography, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, or related field by appointment time.
• Expertise in remote sensing, image processing, and machine learning for environmental monitoring.
• Experience with satellite and UAS-based remote sensing data (RGB, multispectral, LiDAR).
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth Engine, ERDAS IMAGINE, or similar tools.
• Strong Python programming skills for automated geospatial workflows.
• Quantitative and statistical skills with uncertainty analysis and model validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply remote sensing and geospatial analytical methods for environmental projects.
• Collaborate with GeoMARC team on diverse externally funded research.
• Contribute to peer‑reviewed publications, reports, and conference presentations.
• Assist in proposal development and grant activities.
