Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in a cancer research laboratory focused on pediatric brain tumors. The lab, led by Dr.

Jezabel Rodriguez-Blanco within Hollings Cancer Center and the Darby Children’s Research Institute, uses in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models to study medulloblastoma relapse and signaling mechanisms. Ideal candidates hold a recent Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neurosciences, Cancer Biology, or related field.
• Experience with mouse genetic models preferred but not required.
• Experience with CRISPR screens and bioinformatic analyses advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments using mouse genetic models and cell-based studies to identify drivers of medulloblastoma growth and relapse.
• Collect and analyze data, maintain detailed records, and collaborate with biostatistics/bioinformatics resources.
• Contribute to manuscript and grant preparation and present ongoing research in seminars.
• Maintain lab upkeep, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist with IACUC processes.
