Qualifications

  • PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with human endothelial cell culture.
  • Strong experience with fluorescence and/or confocal microscopy.
  • Publication record reflecting substantive endothelial cell culture work.
  • Evidence of independent scientific writing and development of original ideas during graduate training or previous position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop human endothelial cell models for studying IgG recycling, catabolism, and transcytosis in malaria immunology.
  • Create and optimize 2D and 3D endothelial-based assays to evaluate modifiers of IgG handling.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data; maintain accurate lab records.
  • Prepare manuscripts, figures, and grant applications; contribute to presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams; mentor students and technicians.
  • Participate in meetings and scientific seminars; ensure biosafety compliance.
