Job summary

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles seeks a postdoctoral fellow to investigate novel CAR T-cell therapies and other immunotherapies in preclinical neuroblastoma models. The role supports Dr. Shahab Asgharzadeh's lab within CBDI at CHLA, affiliated with USC.

The fellow will train under mentorship to develop research, teaching, and administrative skills. The position focuses on tumor immunology, immunotherapies, and tumor microenvironment interactions, offering collaboration across CHLA, CBDI, Saban

Qualifications

• Exposure to and/or experience in research in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Demonstrated research experience in immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, or related field.
• Evidence of scientific productivity, such as peer‑reviewed publications, manuscripts in preparation, conference abstracts, or presentations.
• Experience with mouse models, immunological assays, flow cytometry, cell culture, or related laboratory techniques preferred.
• Strong written and verbal scientific communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory work and conduct research activities independently or in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
• Publish results in scientific manuscripts and research publications.
• Participate in seminars, meetings, trainings and other educational sessions.
