Job summary

University of Pennsylvania seeks a postdoctoral fellow to perform CRISPR/Cas9 genome-wide screens in hematopoietic stem cells to identify new targets for treating stem cell diseases. The successful candidate will work with Dr.

Tong’s lab on replication stress, DNA repair, and ubiquitin signaling related to bone marrow biology and leukemia. Experience with biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology, as well as mouse models, is required.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and experience with investigating biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology, as well as mouse models.
• Highly motivated candidates with publication records are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform state-of-the-art CRISPR/Cas9 screens to identify novel targets for treating hematopoietic stem cell diseases.
• Study mechanisms that safeguard genome during DNA replication and investigate how failures affect hematopoietic stem cell function.
• Investigate how replication stress impacts stem cell fitness and identify potentially druggable pathways for intervention.
• Collaborate with experts to delineate stem cell responses and publish findings in high-impact journals.
