The University of Florida's Laboratory of Stem Cell and Metabolism invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to study epigenetic mechanisms regulating adipose and liver metabolism, fibrosis, and metabolic disease at UF's Main Campus in Gainesville.

The successful candidate will lead independent and collaborative research projects, design and analyze experiments, contribute to high-impact publications, mentor trainees, and help advance the lab's mission in metabolic adaptation and tissue

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or related field.
• Strong record of research productivity and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Commitment to UF core values and Land-Grant mission.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments using molecular, genetic, and physiological techniques.
• Lead independent and collaborative projects with high impact publications.
• Develop fellowship and grant proposals to support research growth.
• Present findings at meetings and conferences.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate trainees.
• Collaborate with UF and external partners to advance the lab's research goals.
