Job summary

The Cognitive Axon Lab within Carnegie Mellon University seeks a multi-year Postdoctoral Research Associate to study cortico-basal ganglia-thalamic dynamics and naturalistic foraging behaviors. The role is jointly supervised by CMU and an external collaborator, with annual renewals and active opportunities for funding applications.

Responsibilities include linking computational models to human and rodent data, managing data analysis and mentoring trainees, and presenting results at conferences

Qualifications

• PhD in cognitive computational neuroscience or related field required.
• Preferred experience in analysis of behavioral and imaging data, ML, and computational neuroscience.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of partners and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and link computational models to human and rodent data.
• Manage data analysis and archiving; mentor students and trainees.
• Present results at conferences and in journals; assist with funding proposals.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
