New York University’s Simons Center for Computational Geophysical Flows, housed at the Courant Institute, invites applications for full-time Postdoctoral Fellows to conduct deep research in ocean, atmosphere, and ice dynamics. Fellows will work on multiscale flows and AI/physics collaborations under senior faculty.

Positions are available immediately, initially for one year with possible renewal up to two years, subject to funding. The base salary range is 62,500–125,000 USD.

Qualificações

• PhD in machine learning, CS, engineering, physical science, applied mathematics, atmosphere/ocean science, or related field.
• Experience with computational science and high-performance computing.
• Proficiency in Python and ability to work at the interface of AI and physics-based science.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct independent research in multiscale geophysical flows and related areas.
• Lead and contribute to multiple projects within a fast-paced interdisciplinary team.
• Publish results and contribute to NYU's Earth Systems Institute initiatives.
