Job summary

UTHealth Houston invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in cognition and neuroimaging of acute to chronic stroke. The role focuses on neural, cognitive, and social communication recovery post-stroke, with neuroimaging across Houston centers using state-of-the-art 3T scanners.

The position is full-time and funded for 24 months, with a flexible start around January 2027. Strong preference for a PhD in a related field and expertise in fMRI, Python, MATLAB, and R, with manuscript

Qualifications

• PhD in a field related to cognitive neuroscience.
• Strong expertise in quantitative neuroimaging and/or human fMRI data analysis in clinical populations.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, and R as evidenced by publications or thesis.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts experiments, analyzes data, and prepares publications describing results.
• Assists in training and mentoring lab personnel and trainees.
• Reads and evaluates literature and communicates findings effectively.
• Collaborates with team members across groups and institutions.
• Maintains strong written and oral communication skills.
