The ACM Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in machine learning and biomedical image processing to advance AI-driven neurodiagnostic tools. You will work on autonomous AI systems, LLMs, and scalable analysis of large neuroimaging datasets.

Ideal candidates have expertise in agentic AI, multi-agent reasoning, and deep learning, and will contribute to software development across Python, Scala, and C++.

Qualificações

• PhD in CS or related technical discipline (information science, biomedical data science, math, statistics).
• Experience with Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, LLMs, computer vision and deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs).
• Strong ML foundations and data science methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming with Python and at least one of Python, Java or R.

Responsabilidades

• Develop deep-learning approaches for mouse behavior analysis from video.
• Apply statistics and ML to high-dimensional medical imaging data.
• Build scalable Python/Scala/C++ libraries and pipelines using Spark, Hadoop or similar tools.
• Develop computational approaches to understand neurodisorders and brain mechanisms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver creative solutions.
• Present work at national and international conferences.
