The Computational Multiomics Laboratory at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMB) is recruiting computational postdoctoral fellows to join our interdisciplinary team. The lab, led by Dr.

Rongbin Zheng, focuses on decoding disease complexity through AI, multi-omics, and multicellular regulation to advance therapeutic discovery in human diseases. Successful candidates will pursue independent research at the intersection of computational modeling, genetics, functional genomics,

Qualifications

• A PhD and/or MD in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biology, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in computational biology and interdisciplinary biomedical research.
• A strong publication record.
• Excellent scientific communication skills, including oral presentations and scientific writing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Python/R programming and Linux/Unix environments.

Responsibilities

• Genetics, epigenetics, or functional genomics.
• Metabolism, metabolic diseases (obesity/diabetes), or adipose biology.
• Cancer biology, tumor microenvironment, or immunometabolism.
• Artificial intelligence (AI), deep learning, or machine learning applied to biological questions.
