Qualifications

• PhD completed within the last 5 years or expected soon.
• Experience in hydrological or Earth system modeling and data analysis.
• Strong computational, HPC, and data analysis background.
• Experience applying AI/ML to hydrology or Earth sciences.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI foundation models for hydrological and Earth system modeling.
• Design physics-informed and hybrid physics-ML methods.
• Integrate diverse data sources for model calibration and validation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on large-scale model training.
• Publish findings and present results at conferences.
• Engage with DOE labs and universities to broaden applications.
