Job summary

The Wistar Institute in Philadelphia invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow to join the Center for Advanced Therapeutics (CAT) in the Zhou lab, developing AI- and physics-based computational methods to accelerate drug discovery.

The successful candidate will work on AI model development, protein–ligand modeling, docking and binding-affinity prediction, and large-scale virtual screening, with opportunities to validate predictions experimentally.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational chemistry, biophysics, computer science or related field.
• At least one first-author peer-reviewed publication.
• Experience in ML/DL, molecular modeling, or related areas is desirable.
• Creative, self-motivated, and collaborative researcher.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI- and physics-based computational methods for drug discovery.
• Pursue AI model development, protein–ligand modeling, docking and binding-affinity prediction, and large-scale virtual screening.
• Collaborate with experimental researchers to validate computational predictions.
