The U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) is offering a post-doctoral fellowship in the Expeditionary Medical Systems Department in San Antonio, Texas.

The appointment supports research on organ support, extracorporeal life support, trauma care, and battlefield resuscitation using advanced technologies including AI/ML, robotics, telemedicine, and data-driven decision support. Qualifications

• PhD or MD in Biomedical Sciences or related field with strong research background.
• Experience leading translational research efforts and publications.
• Familiarity with military-relevant critical care or organ support is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design, conduct, and analyze translational research programs on medical devices and monitoring technologies.
• Collaborate with academia, industry, and government partners to advance capabilities.
• Prepare manuscripts, reports, and proposals and participate in scientific reviews.
• Contribute to technology maturation from preclinical evaluation to operational capability.
