Job summary

The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Nanobio Materials and Robotics group. This role involves working on innovative projects related to bio-actuators for sensing and transport applications.

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Engineering or Physics and have a background in active colloids, Nano Fabrication techniques, and experience in training students. Start date is as early as August 2026, with potential for extension.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Engineering and/or Physics.
  • Experience in active colloids and magnetic/acoustic control systems is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Nano Fabrication techniques is required.

Responsibilities

  • Train undergraduate and graduate students in micro/nano scale soft devices.
  • Participate in government funded science and engineering projects.
  • Potential for initiating new independent research.

Skills

Experience with Nano Fabrication techniques
