Penn State's Department of Materials Science and Engineering invites applications for postdoctoral scholar positions in the Redwing Group at University Park. The postdoc will work on MOCVD growth and characterization of 2D transition metal dichalcogenides and related materials, with opportunities to integrate AI-driven workflows.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in a related field, with hands-on experience in electronic materials synthesis, characterization, and device fabrication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electronic materials synthesis, characterization and/or device fabrication.
• Experience with MOCVD or related vapor-phase deposition is desirable.
• Background in TMDs and data-driven experimentation is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and conduct experiments to grow and characterize materials.
• Analyze relationships between growth conditions, structure and properties; publish results.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop AI-driven workflows for materials research.
