Job summary

NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE is seeking a Postal Operations Specialist (Office Mail Manager). You will manage all mail operations, coordinate postal services, and ensure compliance with USPS, DoD, and DON policies.

The role requires analyzing workload, supervising civilian, military, and contract staff, and promoting mail consolidation efforts through coordination with local agencies.

Summary

You will serve as a POSTAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (OFFICE MAIL MANAGER) of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will serve as a POSTAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (OFFICE MAIL MANAGER) of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Ensuring all postal operations comply with U.S. Postal Service (USPS), Department of Defense (DoD),and Department of Navy (DON) policies and regulations;
• Negotiating with senior personnel at other local government agencies and activities to promote and expand mail consolidation efforts;
• Analyze and track workload (volume/type of mail),current mail handling procedures, and cost of operations;
• Analyzing overall mail operations and evaluate potential benefits/uses of automation to improve efficiency and impact on mail operations at supported customer activities, and
• Overseeing mail processing and civilian/military/contractor personnel responsible for accomplishment of various postal duties.
