JOB SUMMARY

Guest Services Agents ensure proper check-in and check-out of our guests while providing excellent customer service in a professional and courteous manner. They will accommodate guests to ensure their visit is not just a stay but an awesome experience! They will also assist with questions or concerns and provide the best resolution for our guests. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Serve as Concierge to guests (may include making restaurant reservations, providing directions, recommending area attractions, etc.); become familiar with the property location, types of rooms available, room rates, and services offered by the property.
  2. Review guest reservation status, identify the length of stay, present options and alternatives, and use suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and services.
  3. Assist with registration, assign hotel rooms, generate secure room keys, and handle special requests; assist in pre-registration and reservation management; monitor reservations and understand cancellation procedures.
  4. Verify guest payment methods, adhere to credit and cash-handling policies, and manage charges and safe deposit procedures.
  5. Input guest information into the PMS system, maintain cleanliness of the front desk area, and coordinate with other departments regarding guest needs.
  6. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness and address guest requests.
  7. Be adaptable to shift changes, attend departmental meetings, and stay informed about daily activities.
  8. Report unusual occurrences, understand safety and emergency procedures, and follow accident prevention policies.
  9. Perform other tasks as necessary to meet or exceed guest satisfaction.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent; one year of relevant experience preferred (Customer Service, Hotel Industry, Management, etc.).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience in data entry and database management.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
  • Understanding or experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Guest Services Agent preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Experience with front office equipment.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and physical ability to walk, sit, and stand during shifts; capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Ability to manage and resolve guest issues calmly and compassionately.
  • Engage guests proactively and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and embrace diversity.
