Job summary

Alamo NEX Construction LLC in Texas seeks a Post-Tensioning Technician to perform post-tensioning functions for the I35 NEX project. This role is primarily outdoors and night shifts, focused on safety and quality.

You will supervise installation of post-tensioning materials, coordinate with field crews, provide training, and ensure equipment is used properly. 2-4 years of PT experience and PTI/ASBI certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of work experience in similar document control positions preferred.
• Level-2 Multistrand and Grouted PT Specialist (PTI)
• ASBI Certified Grouting Technician
• Must possess excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure controls are established and followed.
• Participates in pre-project and pre-task planning activities then communicates with field crews.
• Motivate teams to work together to accomplish post-tensioning tasks, coordinate with other construction activities and assign work to employees.
• Ensure crews are operating all tools and equipment safely and productively.
• Provide training and assistance to crews in post-tensioning tasks.
• Complete essential paperwork clearly and accurately.
• Provide safety leadership.
• Control of materials and equipment.
• Supervise installation of post-tensioning materials.
• Tendon installation of Tecpresa PT system.
• Stressing of Tepcresa PT system tendons and bars.
• Grout trials of PT tendons.
• Grout and seal duct vents & grout caps.

About us:

Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. The proposed improvements will include the addition of elevated managed lanes to I-35, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/I-410 North interchange, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/Loop 1604 interchange, and widening of Loop 1604 in Bexar and Guadalupe Counties.
