Qualifications

  • Active RN license in state or compact jurisdiction.
  • BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process.
  • Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
  • Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
  • Assists physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
  • Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR / code team activities.
  • Educates patients and families on conditions, treatment, and post-discharge care.
  • Implements infection control protocols to prevent infections.
  • Documents patient care thoroughly in the medical record.
  • Participates in audits and performance improvement initiatives.
