Job summary

NOVO Health Services is hiring a Soiled Sorter at the Skokie facility. The role involves sorting a variety of linen pieces on the belt, maintaining quality and safety standards, and assisting with additional duties as needed.

This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and a starting pay rate. Ideal candidates are reliable, communicate well, and can work in a fast-paced environment while upholding hygiene and process controls.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sort large pieces on the belt (bath blankets, sheets, thermals).
• Sort second largest pieces (underpants, gowns, fitted sheets).
• Sort remaining pieces (towels, washcloths, scrubs).
• Adhere to quality standards for soil sorting and cart cleaning.
• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Assist and perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for a Soiled Sorter at our Skokie facility. We are looking for someone confident in decision-making, who can act quickly, and has excellent communication skills. If you are ready to commit to measurable performance and continuous improvement, we want to hear from you!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The attendants on the belt perform the following tasks: One attendant sorts large pieces consisting of bath blankets, flat sheets, draw sheets, and thermals.
• The second and third attendant sorts the second largest pieces - underpants, patient gowns, and fitted sheets.
• The fourth and fifth attendant will handle all the rest of the pieces, such as bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and scrubs.
• Adhere to quality standards in terms of soil sorting and cart cleaning.
• Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Assist and perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting 50 lbs. or more, and stooping.
• Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire 10 hour shift.

Pay starts at $17/hour
