Amazon LEO is expanding global broadband via a constellation of satellites. We seek a Post Silicon Engineer to own validation of MODEM SOC, embedded processors, and high-speed interfaces.

You'll work across FPGA, emulators, and DV environments to ensure successful bring-up and integration in Amazon LEO products. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in SOC/ASIC bring-up, with hands-on lab work and proficiency in Python, Embedded C, and JTAG debugging.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with strong hardware focus.
• 5+ years in bring up, validation and characterization of SOC/ASIC.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces and lab instrumentation.

Amazon LEO is expanding global broadband access through a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. You will be part of a team that works on cutting edge silicon engineered to operate in the harsh environment of space. The Post Silicon Engineer will play a pivotal role in a team that brings up, validates and characterizes MODEM SOC. In this role you will own Post Silicon validation of Embedded Processors, PLL, SRAM, DDR, SERDES. In addition, you will work with product teams to ensure successful integration, bring up and performance of MODEM SOC in Amazon LEO products.

Key job responsibilities

• Define, Own and maintain Validation/Characterization plan for MODEM SOC and associated peripherals.
• Define, Design and Bring Up SOC Test Platforms.
• Own test automation and test benches, for validation of high-speed interfaces and other Peripherals
• Drive System Level Debugs working alongside Design, DV, Architects and Manufacturing teams
• Work in FPGA, Emulators and DV Environment to ensure successful Bring Up.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of work experience in Bring Up, Validation and characterization of SOC or ASIC
• Familiarity with protocols such as I2C, SPI, I3C and eMMC
• Experience using Bench top instruments (Power Supply, DMM, High Speed Oscilloscope, Signal generator and DAQs)
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Embedded C
• Familiarity using Lauterbach or other JTAG Based debuggers to program/debug Embedded Processors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience Validating and Characterizing high-speed interfaces (e.g. SERDES, DDR)
• Power Analysis and Characterization
• Fundamental Knowledge of Signal-Integrity and Power-Integrity
• Experience using FPGA or Emulator for Pre-Silicon Validation and Bring-Up Prep.
• Working knowledge of a MODEM is a plus
• High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
