Job summary

We’re hiring for entry-level automotive roles at Carvana, the fast-growing used-car retailer. Positions include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate at our Bessemer, Alabama location. Starting pay is $16/hr with overtime opportunities and a 6am–3pm first shift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate vehicle equipment and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Work in fast-paced production environments with exposure to heat/cold.
• Use of safety equipment such as face shields, goggles, gloves, and non-slip shoes.

Responsibilities

• Detail vehicles: wash, interior cleaning, exterior buffing.
• Move vehicles to different departments in Inspection Centers (Lot Attendant).
• Photograph vehicles for customers (Photobooth Associate).
• Inspect interiors and exteriors to identify imperfections/defects.

In these entry-level roles, you’ll have several positions to choose from:

• Detailer: detailing vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing
• Lot Attendant: move vehicles from one department to the next in our Inspection Centers
• Photobooth Associate: take photos of our vehicles so customers can see our vehicles in our spinners
• Inspection Associate: inspect the interior and exterior of the vehicles and accurately identify any imperfections/defects

• Pay: Starting pay for this position is $16/hr.
• Schedule: Please keep in mind that all locations are subject to mandatory overtime based on business need.
  • First shift: Mon-Fri 6am-3pm
• Location: Our inspection center is located at: 1951 Morgan Rd Bessemer, Alabama 35022

General qualifications and requirements

• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some positions may be subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
• An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
