Nurses Aide - Medical/Surgical Float Pool - Days

At NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, certified nurses aides thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. We serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families, partnering with nurses, ICU technicians, and others. Responsibilities include monitoring blood pressure and temperature, delivering meals, and ensuring safe patient transport. Bring your smile to work and infuse energy and hospitality into patients' days, providing comfort and care to keep our fast-paced environment running smoothly.

Provide compassionate patient-focused care and perform select duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Enhance the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Measure and record vital signs such as temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to elevating patient care standards.

This is a full-time dayshift position.

Preferred Criteria
  • At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aide.
Required Criteria
  • Previous nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting, certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aide training program, or current enrollment in a BSN program for nursing (junior year or completed at least one clinical practicum).
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
