Job summary

Medical City Weatherford is seeking a Post Partum Registered Nurse to collaborate with patients, families and the health care team to assess nursing needs, plan interventions and evaluate outcomes. The RN may provide direct care or supervise LVNs and non-licensed staff and will assume charge duties as required.

The role requires an RN license with RN Diploma/AD/BSN, BLS within 30 days and STABLE within 60 days, plus at least 2 years of experience.

Job Summary and Qualifications

In collaboration with patient, patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing the nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN provides direct care and/or supervises nursing care of LVN’s and non-licensed nursing staff. The RN is responsible for providing care consistent with the Nursing Department’s policies, procedures and standards of practice.

RN’s are responsible for providing care, which is appropriate to the age specific (adolescent, adult and geriatric patients), developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population. In addition to the RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties. The charge nurse makes patient assignments and supervises and directs the staff and unit activities for the assigned shift.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• STABLE must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date

• (RN) Registered Nurse

• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree

• No Travel Required

• 2 Required Years of Experience
