Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step-Down (CCSD) team on 7 West. The unit supports congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis, with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and rotating weekends.

You'll perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and manage BiPAP/high-flow oxygen, tracheostomy/vent care, and bedside procedures. Sign-on bonuses and robust benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and active RN license in Ohio.
• BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care in the CCSD unit with a 5:1 patient ratio.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac patients.
• Manage airway support (BiPAP/High Flow Oxygen; Trach/Vents) and assist with procedures.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Providers, PT/OT to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Primary Patient Population

• Congestive Heart Failure
