Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient‑centered care. You will collaborate with providers and the care team, advocate for patients, and follow established nursing models to ensure excellent outcomes.

The role involves assessing patients at admission and during shifts, managing pain, administering medications, teaching patients and families, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program (diploma/associate/bachelor).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current TX RN license or Multi-State Compact.
• Current BLS from American Heart Association.
• 1 year Med-Surg RN experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during each shift; report changes.
• Assess patient environment for safety risks and regulatory compliance.
• Assess patient pain regularly and reassess after interventions.
• Identify signs of abuse/neglect and report to provider or appropriate agencies.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record; administer meds.
