Job summary

MedHQ seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Recovery Room to provide expert post-anesthesia nursing care. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, while supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants per policy.

You will educate patients and caregivers for discharge, coordinate with the care team, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced outpatient setting in Newport Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in California (or eligibility).
• BLS certification within first month of hire.
• ACLS certification within first month of hire.
• Two years of recovery room, critical care or ER experience preferred.
• Experience in outpatient surgery preferred; strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and staff; handle emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care during post-operative recovery.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
• Educate patient and caregiver for discharge home.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with all staff and patients.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and functioning.
• Document patient status and care accurately.
• Participate in ongoing training and center development.
