JOB SUMMARY
The Post-Harvest Lead is responsible for supervising a small team with the day-to-day post-harvest work in accordance with standards set by the company. Provides direct support for all post-harvest associates, including training, policy and procedure updates, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedure including managing and tracking the harvest, dry, trim, cure, and packaging of product. Responsible for highest possible standards of work in post-harvest, maintaining facility compliance, and cleanliness in accordance with state regulations and standards set by the company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Implement good agricultural practices and follow all facility rules
- Keep good records and follow good documentation practices
- Keep good records of all practices implemented and data collected as pertaining to supervisor responsibilities
- Department KPI data collection and entry
- Train all post-harvest associates on department SOP's and changes to policy
- Supervise post-harvest associates through all department related tasks
- Assure post-harvest associates are completing tasks as outline in SOP's efficiently.
- Assist in all post-harvest procedures from harvesting to bulk packaging, including harvesting, drying, curing, burping, room sanitation, equipment sanitation, bucking, packaging, etc.
- Typical daily work tasks required include (but not limited to); harvesting, drying, curing, burping, room sanitation, equipment sanitation, bucking, packaging, monitoring inventory management, etc.
- Monitoring of environmental conditions including, but not limited to, temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, VPD, etc.
- Scout dry and cure rooms for pests/disease and document on proper forms
- Operate and maintain post-harvest systems/equipment
- Stock post-harvest supplies as needed
- Clean, sanitize, and setup all post-harvest areas
- Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, stools, totes, gloves, rags, and PPE gear
- Conduct trials to evaluate possible improvements to the crop
- Perform regular audits as required
- Perform any other job-related tasks assigned by management
- Ensure post-harvest operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law.
- Assure that all operations adhere to business and industry license requirements.
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in post-harvest and document production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Able to follow and adhere to a complex production and harvest schedule in a fast-paced environment
- Show skills in analyzing potential problems with plant health or the product being processed
- Understand current knowledge of processing techniques and industry technologies
- Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a commercial grow
- Display accountability, proactive behavior, and strong attention to detail
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedure
- Well organized and ability to keep deadlines
- Works well with all peers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Positive attitude, team player and strong work ethic
- Willing to build understanding of applicable state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operation
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills
- Must be focused, pay close attention to detail
- Must be able to internalize training and follow instructions
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
