Job summary

Summit Contracting in South Dakota is seeking a Post Frame Construction Carpenter to perform on-site construction tasks, including site prep, tool use, and cleanup. You will read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and work as part of a team in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities include material handling, transport of equipment, and following instructions with strong attendance. A valid vocational background and safety awareness are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools.
• Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assisting with transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Receives and carries out instructions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
