LocalEyes Group is recruiting Machine Translation Post-Editors with Traditional Chinese to be part of our growing Teams.

The role

In this role, you will be required to perform Post-Editing (light and full) on Machine Translation outputs in accordance with client specifications.

You will:

1. Ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source.
2. Provide corrections and text optimization based on the MT output.
3. Understand post-editing guidelines and ensure quality standards meet client expectations.
4. Perform linguistic tasks as per project instructions and other references (translation memory, glossary, style guides, etc.).
5. Ensure high grammatical accuracy while maintaining key terminology, spotting inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references.
6. Correct formatting/tagging, punctuation, country specifics, terminology, style, and fluency as per guidelines.

Main requirements:

1. Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience.
2. Native speaker in Traditional Chinese language.
3. Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) experience required.
4. Preferred experience in translation and proofreading specialized in IT and Software.
5. Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing.
6. Experience with Translation Memory tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS).
7. IT skills with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools.
8. Comfortable with technology and open to learn to use new tools.
9. Excellent understanding of Machine Translation Post-Editing processes and tools.
10. Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language.
11. Adaptive to fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities.
12. Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
13. Problem solving and decision-making skills.

Field of expertise: IT/Software and technical expertise including Software UI and product documentation translation.
Location: Remote.
Schedule: This work is based on project needs. Hours can vary and flexibility with a changing schedule is very important.
