STAR7 Group is recruiting Post-Editors from Italian into Slovak to be part of our growing Teams.

In this role, you will be required to perform Post-Editing (light and full) on Machine Translation outputs in accordance with client specifications.

You will:

1. Ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source.
2. Provide corrections and text optimization based on the MT output.
3. Understand post-editing guidelines and ensure quality standards meet client expectations.
4. Perform linguistic tasks as per project instructions and other references (translation memory, glossary, style guides, etc.).
5. Ensure high grammatical accuracy while maintaining key terminology, spotting inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references.
6. Correct formatting/tagging, punctuation, country specifics, terminology, style, fluency as per guidelines.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience.
2. Native speaker in Slovak language.
3. Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) experience required.
4. Excellent command of the Italian language in both comprehension and writing.
5. Preferred experience in translation and proofreading specialized in the Technical field.
6. IT skills with knowledge and experience of CAT tools.
7. Comfortable with technology and open to learn to use new tools.
8. Excellent understanding of Machine Translation Post-Editing processes and tools.
9. Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language.
10. Adaptive to fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities.
11. Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
12. Problem solving and decision-making skills.
