Post Doctoral Scholar - Physiology & Cell Biology

Job Title: Post Doctoral Scholar - Physiology & Cell Biology

Department: Medicine | School Biomedicine Science Physiology and Cell Biology

Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and execute experiments of considerable scope and complexity in the study of the role of innate and adaptive immune system in cardiovascular diseases.
  • Collect and analyze data for research sponsored by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and other agencies.
  • Identify and select problems to study, develop and troubleshoot new experimental techniques and protocols.
  • Attend research seminars and contribute to manuscript preparation and technical writing.
  • Participate in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding.
Minimum Education and Skills / Experience
  • Doctoral degree in a biological or health sciences field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques, cell signaling pathways, and prior training in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology.
  • Strong preference for a scientific publication record.
