Job summary

Role Description

Conducts research and development efforts as a Post Doctoral Scholar in the laboratory led by Professor Kang Xu. The Post Doctoral Scholar will focus on research in the areas of developing new materials for advanced energy storage devices, with emphasis on new electrolyte solvents, salts and additives. Candidates with background or skills in organic/inorganic synthesis will be preferred. The postdoc will prepare and document data resulting from these studies and report to sponsors; prepare research results and reports, conference and journal papers, and technical presentations; assist in mentoring student employees in the laboratory; attend research group and unit meetings. In the first year the postdoc scholar will also assist the supervisor to set up the laboratory and acquire new equipment and instruments.
