Overview
Position: Post-Doctoral Research Associate. The incumbent will study the metabolic interactions of dietary polyphenols and endogenous metabolites, conduct scientific research, publish peer-reviewed results, and provide technical assistance to graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments related to polyphenol and endogenous metabolite interactions.
- Perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation using MS-based instrumentation.
- Prepare and contribute to peer‑reviewed publications and reports.
- Provide technical assistance and mentorship to graduate and undergraduate lab members as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in nutrition/food science, natural products, analytical chemistry, or closely related fields.
- Experience with MS instrumentation (LC-MS, GC-MS) and chemical derivatization.
- Experience operating and maintaining MS instruments and data analysis software.
- Experience in qualitative analysis of polyphenol metabolites and trace-level biomolecule analysis in vivo.
- Knowledge in mass-based metabolomic research and natural product chemistry.
- Knowledge of interactions between polyphenols and endogenous metabolites.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for publishing and presenting scientific results.
- Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment.
