Job summary

Snowflake is hiring a Post-Doctoral Researcher for the AI Research team. This 24-month fixed-term role focuses on applying machine learning to medicine, finance, and law, with opportunities to publish high-quality work and collaborate across researchers, scientists, and engineers.

The ideal candidate has a PhD (or expected completion) in a STEM field, strong Python and DL framework experience, and a track record of publications or internships in top AI venues.

Qualifications

• PhD (or expected) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Research experience in machine learning or AI techniques with publications or internship experience.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow) or equivalent.
• At least one publication submission in top AI or applied domain venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, ACL).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across research teams and domain experts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with research mentors to formulate ML research projects.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research and publish in top venues.
• Design and run large-scale experiments using modern DL frameworks; write reusable code.
• Develop models bridging AI capabilities with real-world constraints.
• Engage with domain experts and applied engineering for practical impact.
• Contribute to the research community via publications and open-source releases.
