The Community-based Psychiatry Fellowship enhances a pharmacist’s skills in patient-centered care and pharmacy operations, preparing the fellow for managerial, supervisory, and leadership roles. The program focuses on expanding pharmacist-provided services within a clinic model through active research, aiming to develop leadership in community-based or ambulatory care, especially in mental health. The fellowship fosters entrepreneurial skills to lead innovative practice models.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree, completion of a PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, eligibility for licensure in North Carolina, and eligibility to become a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP).
Same as minimum education and experience requirements.
Interest in community-based pharmacy, effective communication, critical thinking, leadership, and motivation.
