Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to advance translational immunotherapy for solid tumors. You will work in the lab of Dr.

Chao Wang, collaborating with BMT CI and Immunology teams to apply cutting-edge immunology methods in a translational setting. Ideal candidates hold a PhD in Immunology or related field, have flow cytometry and mammalian cell culture experience, and at least one first-author publication.

• PhD in Immunology or related field is required.
• Experience with flow cytometry and basic immunology techniques.
• First-author publication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn research techniques that directly relate to the program’s scientific projects and goals with appropriate direction and supervision.
• Plan, conduct and document experiments independently; evaluate and interpret data with guidance
• Develop scientific writing and presentation skills, including grant proposals, manuscript preparation and formal seminars
• Present research findings to the Moffitt scientific community and at national scientific meetings

Summary

Postdoctoral Fellow

Position Highlights:

• A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Chao Wang, Department of BMT CI and Department of Immunology. We seek a highly motivated, team-oriented individual interested in translational immunotherapy research for the treatment of solid tumors. Applicants should have less than two years post-doctoral experience.

• Moffitt integrates excellent patient care with cutting-edge clinical and basic research. Having a cancer hospital on-site provides unique opportunities for translational research.

• You will be encouraged and supported to apply for training grants.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrates proficiency in basic immunology techniques, including flow cytometry.
• Is well-experienced in culturing mammalian cell lines and primary mammalian cells
• Has experience working with mouse models and demonstrates a working knowledge of mouse genetics and basic mouse husbandry

Credentials and Qualifications:

Salary Range

$66,654.00 - $93,315.60

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
