Job summary

Biological Sciences Division at the University of Chicago seeks an Assistant Director, Training Grants - Post Award Administrator to provide financial and compliance oversight for NIH T32 training grants and F31 awards.

The role serves as the primary post-award contact, coordinating with URA and departmental staff, ensuring NIH and federal policy adherence, and managing budget projections and stipend accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, or related field.
• Experience administering NIH grants and NRSA awards preferred.
• Familiarity with NIH RPPR submission processes.
• Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 and NIH Grants Policy Statement.
• Proficiency with university financial systems (Workday, AURA, Oracle, Orbit).

Responsibilities

• Oversee post-award activities for T32 training grants and budgets.
• Provide financial data and reports from Oracle.
• Maintain AURA data and coordinate edits with URA.
• Ensure data integrity in Oracle and process budget-year actions.
• Coordinate responses to NIH program officers and NOTICES.
• Serve as post-award liaison and train faculty on NIH training grant requirements.
• Monitor trainee stipends and cost allocations.
