Job summary

MedCap Health in Michigan is seeking a full-time, contract Post-Acute Physician to oversee medical care in long-term skilled nursing facilities. Flexible hours during the day, with some weekends as needed; you can pick hours that work for you.

You’ll earn between $250,000 and $500,000 per year and receive support such as malpractice coverage, credential support, on-the-job training, and telemedicine for overnight/weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Board certification (or eligibility) in internal medicine, critical care, family practice, or geriatrics.
• Leadership experience is highly desired.
• Experience leading a team of multi-specialists and nurse practitioners in skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of multi-specialists and nurse practitioners to provide attentive, hospital-level care in skilled nursing facilities.
• Oversee medical care coordination and ensure safe, productive patient environments.
• Support complex cases and provide guidance to the care team as needed.
