Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience working with youth; facilitation and counseling; two years' work expected.
• Virtual-space facilitation is a plus.
• Experience mentoring high school and college students one-on-one.
• Arts college admissions knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Diversity awareness and ability to relate to diverse backgrounds.
• Be enthusiastic, a strong work ethic, independent and a team player; a positive role model.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred; Puerto Rico Spanish required.
• Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to travel; driver's license preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, internet research, and email.
• Demonstrated belief in Posse's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and support Posse Scholars.
• Outreach to high schools and community organizations during recruitment.
• Interview candidates and guide through college applications.
• Follow scholars from senior year through college graduation.
• Facilitate weekly workshops on leadership and academic excellence.
• Schedule four campus visits annually to meet scholars.
• Track scholars' academic progress and address retention issues.
• Collaborate with Posse mentors to provide scholar support.
• Report to the Program Director and work with other staff.
